Beauty Toran Bay
Fak - fak Regency is
one of the districts in West Papua Province, Indonesia. The capital of this
district is located in the Fakfak district. Fakfak Regency is located at
131°30' - 138°40' East Longitude and 2°25' - 4° South Latitude and borders:
Bintuni Bay to the north, Arafura Sea to the south, Seram Sea and Berau Bay to
the west, and Kaimana Regency to the south and east.[6] This district is famous
for its nutmeg products, so it is nicknamed "Nutmeg City". In
mid-2023, the population of Fakfak district will be 90,286 people.
Fakfak Regency,
located in the southern part of West Papua, is very strategic because it has a
relatively shorter connection with Ambon City compared to other cities on the
island of Papua. Data for 2003 shows that 722.52 ha of land in Fakfak Regency
is used for housing/settlement, 6274.58 ha for services/offices, 9.9 ha for
fields/fields, and the rest is used for other purposes.
Fakfak Regency has an
area of 14,320
Km2, located between 131 ° 30'-138040'E and 2 ° 25'-4 ° 00'S. Karas District is
the largest area in Fakfak Regency. Meanwhile, Central Fakfak District is the
smallest area, namely 705 Km2 or 4.92% of the total area of Fakfak
Regency. Fakfak Regency with a height of 0-100 meters above sea level and the
highest is the coldest city in West Papua.[7] Based on the results of records
from the Fakfak Regency Meteorology and Geophysics Agency, the average air
temperature in 2008 was between 21.6 °C - 30.7 °C, higher than the situation in
2007 which was recorded at between 21.7 °C - 28. 9 °C.
The lowest
temperature occurred in August, namely 20.0 °C and the highest occurred in
September, namely 32.0 °C. The average air humidity in 2008 was 84.8%, a
decrease compared to the previous year's conditions. Average air humidity in

rainfall is recorded between 3,000–3,400 mm per year with the number of rainy
days ranging from 180–230 rainy days per year.
